The Aerospace Industry Development Association of Tamil Nadu (AIDAT) works to create an end to end ecosystem for Aerospace and Defence sector development in Tamil Nadu covering design, engineering, manufacturing and maintenance of civil and Defence sector components, subsystems, systems and end user transport such as Aircrafts, Land and Sea based vehicles.

Vision & Objectives

• Position Tamil Nadu as the hub for A&D Industry in India in the areas of design, development, manufacturing and support.
• Continue to work with Tamil Nadu government on the Tamil Nadu Aerospace and Defence Industrial Policy related issues.
• Create an end-to-end ecosystem for A&D sector in Tamil Nadu.
• Attract investments in A&D sector to the tune of USD 5B in 5 years and USD10B in 10 years.
• To generate employment opportunities for about 1 Lakh people in 10 years.
• Tap TN’s inherent strengths in automotive manufacturing sector to A&D.
• Attract global OEMs and Tier 1/2 suppliers and Indianmajors as anchor units in the state.
• Create comprehensive projects to be implemented in the state to achieve the above objectives.
